Certification Process

This page describes the pathway from initial enquiry to registry listing.

Overview

Stage 1: Eligibility Check

The applicant submits an initial enquiry confirming the scope and nature of the implementation. MannCert reviews basic eligibility, including whether the implementation falls within scope and whether a valid implementation licence is in place or in progress. The MannCert Quick Reference Checklist is used to filter readiness.

Stage 2: Formal Application

The applicant submits a formal application including a completed PDM Conformance Checklist, supporting technical documentation, and the applicable assessment fee. Incomplete applications are returned with guidance.

Stage 3: Assessment

MannCert conducts a conformity assessment against the current PDM Conformance Standard:

•       Review of implementation documentation and architecture

•       Verification against PDM Canonical Test Vectors

•       Evaluation of parameter governance and audit trail provisions

•       Confirmation that depletion computation, threshold scheduling, trigger conditions, issuance constraints, and progressive scarcity enforcement conform to the standard

Additional evidence, clarification, or test environment access may be requested.

Stage 4: Decision

•       Certified: meets conformance requirements; eligible for registry listing

•       Certified with Conditions: meets core requirements; specific conditions to be addressed within a defined timeframe

•       Not Certified: does not meet requirements; written explanation of deficiencies provided

Stage 5: Registry Listing

Certified implementations are entered into the MannCert Registry with a unique MannMark identifier. The MannMark is owned and administered exclusively by MannCert Ltd. The entry includes entity name, scope, certification date, standard version, status, and any conditions.

Certification Period and Renewal

Certification is issued for a defined period. Renewal requires application before expiry. Renewal assessment uses the current standard version. Failure to renew results in expiry and registry status is updated accordingly.

Fees

Fees are confirmed following initial scoping and payable upon formal application. They reflect the scope and complexity of the implementation. Payment does not guarantee a certification outcome.

Confidentiality

Application materials and assessment evidence are confidential. Registry entries contain only the information necessary for public verification.
